Measuring the Quantum Effect…
Numbers to back up what you hear
On these pages you will find measured evidence of the effects that Quantum QRT units have on audio equipment. There are various different tests, each carried out by an independent authority, Acuity Products. They are available to read on-line but also, given the complexity of some of the graphs involved, in a higher resolution, downloadable format. These results are part of an ongoing process applying the most sophisticated techniques to the measurement of not just Quantum, but other supposedly un-measurable yet clearly audible audio effects, involving signal cables, supports, AC supply quality and equipment itself. The data presented here will be constantly updated and added to as new results and techniques emerge.
Who are Acuity Products?
Acuity Products is an independent, UK based defence contractor that specializes in the development and testing of sonar, radar, comms and ECM systems, along with the complex diagnostic algorithms these disciplines demand. Their leading signal processing expert is Dr Gareth Humphreys-Jones, who has a Ph.D in Applied Mathematics and nearly 30 years experience in the field. During this time he has been responsible for the production of numerous state-of-the-art signal and noise parametric measurement algorithms as well as collaborating in the creation of new, internationally recognized, RF spectrum measurement standards. He leads an exceptionally experienced team with extensive involvement in defence-based projects surrounding the design, development and testing of high specification data, image and signal processing equipment, primarily for the UK MoD.
